Mutnovsky volcanoDuring our helicopter flight we will pass Vilyuchinsky and Gorely volcanoes and land on the slopes of Mutnovsky volcano (2323 m). Walking to the crater of Mutnovsky volcano where you will be impressed by steaming fumaroles, boiling mud pots, acid lake, giant glaciers and other signs of volcanic activity. In March 2000 steam blasts rocked one of the craters while within it a glacier began to collapse. A large section of the glacier vanished and a blue acid crater lake appeared amid the broken ice. Standing on ice you will at the same time feel the hot breath of the earth here.

The program of the trip:

  • Transfer to the helicopter site
  • Flight to the South of Kamchatka, passing Vilyuchinsky and Gorely volcanoes (35-40 min)
  • Landing on the slope of Mutnovsky vlc., walking excursion to the crater of the active Mutnovsky volcano (2323 m), watch the fumarole field and mud pots (3 hours)
  • Return to the helicopter (3 hours)
  • Flight back to Petropvavlovsk

Included: double accommodation, visa invitation and registration, helicopter, transfer to the helicopter site and back, guide, English-speaking interpreter and cook services, lunch.
