Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the State Kamchatka Joined museum or interactive museum “Volcanarium”. Excursion with lecture in museum. Sightseeing tour: Lenin Square, St.Peter & St.Paul monument, Nikolskaya hill, V.Bering monument. Lunch in citi café (independent). Souvenir shopping and fish market. Transfer to coast of Pacific Ocean. Walking excursion along the black sand shore. Admiring the waves. Visit the first surf camp in Far East of Russia. Drive back to hotel. Briefing with a mountain guide and check an equipment.
Optional program*: helicopter excursion (weather permitting) to the Kuril lake – the Kingdom of brown bear or to the Valley of Geysers.
Earlybreakfast in hotel. Drive to the foot of Mutnovsky volcano. Excursion to the crater of Mutnovsky volcano (2323m). Seeing active fumaroles, mud siphons, mud craters, mountain lake. The crater of volcano Mutnovsky is one of the most wonderful volcanic phenomenon of Kamchatka. Steep walls surround wide and deep crater, with shining glaciers. Ascending takes 7-10 hours. Drive to tent camp not far from Rodnikovaya mountain base. Overnight in tents.
Breakfast in tourist camp. Drive to another volcano Gorely (1829m). Ascend to the top – walk along the coulee (hardened lava-stream), slag fields, seeing a few of craters with a beautiful ice- lake in one of it. Lunch-picnic at the top of volcano viewing fantastical panorama: mountain peaks, shores of Pacific Ocean and numerous canyons surrounding the area. The excursion takes 6-8 hours. Return to camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.
Breakfast at tourist camp. Drive to Duchnye hot springs (“Mini Valley of Geysers”). Lunch. Drive back to the city. On the way – stop for bathing in Verhne-Paratunskye hot springs.
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the river Bystraya (Fast) (120 km., 2 hrs.) Arrival to the base camp. Easy lunch.
Rafting down the river (6 hrs.). You will see high rocks coming close to the river banks, thick forests of dwarf cedar, stone birch and shrubbery of giant grasses. Keep your eyes open to catch a glimpse of a bear or soaring in the sky white eagles. Lunch & dinner at the riverside. Set up a camp and overnight in tents.
Continue rafting down the Bystraya river (6 hrs). Catch fresh fish for your dinner. Picnic on the river shore. Set up a camp and overnight in tents.
The end of rafting (3 hrs.). Lunch at the riverside. Drive back to the city (2,5 – 3 hrs.). Accommodation in hotel.
Breakfast in hotel. Drive by ATV 4/6 WD to the foot of the volcano Avachinskiy (50 km., 2 hrs.). Half an hour – asphalt road, 1,5 hours – dry river bed. Accommodation in the tourist base on the altitude of 750 m. Lunch. Acclimatization walk on the slopes of Koryakskiy volcano (3456 m) and to the top of Camel Mountain (1150m). The mountain appeared after the eruption of Avacha volcano, during which hot lava was flowing out of the giant crack in the earth-crust and formed the mountain. Take photos of natural landscapes and flowers. Enjoy the fantastic panorama of surrounding volcanoes. Here you will also see a lot of marmots (locals usually call them “tarbagans”), which often asks some nuts from tourist. Return to the base. Dinner.
Breakfast. Ascend to the top of active volcano Avachinskiy (2751 m). Since 1737 it has erupted 16 times. The last eruption was recorded in 1992 when the lava flows reached nearly the foothill of volcano. The ascent will take 6-8 hours (it depends upon your fitness). From the top of the volcano opens a beautiful panorama of Nalychevo Valley, Zhupanovskaya group of volcanoes, the coast of Pacific Ocean and massive cone of Koryakskiy volcano. Lunch on top, observation of the crater. The length of the ascent is 8 km. The descent takes 3 hours. Return to the camp. Dinner. Drive back to the city. Accommodation in hotel.
Breakfast in hotel. Drive to boat terminal for chartered 6-hours excursion with sailing to the “Three Brothers” rocks and to the Starichkov Island (without coming ashore). In summer time the picturesque shores of the Starichkov Island attract a lot of tourists and divers. If you’re lucky, besides the bird colonies, you will be able to see some sea mammals, including sea otters, seals, and even whales. In the sea, not far from the shore of the island there are Karaulny and Chasovoy kekurs (sea rocks which were formed by marine sediments). A pair of sea eagles, registered in the “Red Book of Russian Federation” (the book of rare species) lives on the Karaulny kekur. On board you will be offered a lunch with Russian fish soup “Ukha”. Return to the city. Transfer to ethnic center with kennel of sled dogs and deer. Program with folklore show and farewell dinner. Drive back to the hotel.
